Association Executives : Provocative Proposals
We believe in the power of Appreciative Inquiry (AI) to help create profound and sustainable change within organizations.
We have seen the power of AI at work in creating visionary futures in individual associations. The Association Executives: Provocative Proposals for Future Change project was born out of a desire to use AI techniques to explore creating change within the association profession itself. We have tapped into the collective expertise of 501(c)(6), (c)(4) and (c)(3) association executives from around the country and are currently conducting an in-depth examination of the bridges between their valuable experience and a boldly inventive future.
This appreciative inquiry process was designed to see what current executives had to say on various contemporary topics of interest. And wow, did they have great things to say! Interviews are now complete and we had the chance to talk to over 200 association executives representing all 50 US States, Canada and South Africa. We are now in the process of analyzing the data and expect to publish the results in the fall of 2011.
